What a discovery! I have been viewing his mv posted by so many fans. Have also bought his DVDs. Hope to attend his concert next year in Japan!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04186513016015994590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7027119346366147543.post-61883430369794504352014-08-13T01:46:17.849+09:002014-08-13T01:46:17.849+09:00Kiyoshi Hikawa is great! "Kiyoshi no Zundoko Bushi" is more than his signature song, his trade mark and one of the favorites (as well as "Hakone Hachiri no Hanjirō", etc.). Also, I love four more songs: "Tokimeki no Run'ba" (The Heart-throbbing Rumba), &Tatianna Raquelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04288306924955385383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7027119346366147543.post-36114352731138895072012-01-24T05:46:53.251+09:002012-01-24T05:46:53.251+09:00Thanks for that comment, Anonymous. Great stuff - I particularly like his 一剣 song, although figuring out the meaning of the lyric taxes my brain.

Where has Amy O gone? We have traveled to Japan at least three times to see him live in concert. Subarashikatta!!!! Experiencing it live is absolutely worth it. I envy people in Japan who can go see him anytime, and really think it's too bad the younger Japanese generation do not appreciate enka. There's way more to HK than flashy costumes. But my family is still in Yokohama--I think they are ok because they are quite far south, but I can't get through because I think there are a lot of power outages. I don't know whether I can get home tomorrow or not.yokohamamamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17098212549844656652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7027119346366147543.post-6309267885853398562011-03-11T17:43:15.510+09:002011-03-11T17:43:15.510+09:00oh good song!

Sinatra as opposed to Leadbelly, if you see what I mean? Any recommendations for a less orchestrated, more trad, approach? I've a feeling I might find bits I like in a more rootsy version.Dazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07907025299657181744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7027119346366147543.post-50646126621177838112011-03-10T02:03:38.562+09:002011-03-10T02:03:38.562+09:00i'll check this out on my laptop this eveningi'll check this out on my laptop this eveningSarah Ahiershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02795455714801965956noreply@blogger.com
